Style notes — late Georgian period mainly refers to the early 19th century, up to 1838. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration. Most Georgian items have straight and very clean lines and elegant repetitive floral patterns.
Facts of Lavish Fun bit — hurricane glass is a blown sleeve used to protect candle and oil lamp flames from the drought. A hurricane cocktail glass simply has the same shape.
