Beautiful cake plate with moulded handles, green and gilded acanthus leaf rim; antique English William IV 1830s.
Condition: some surface wear, some gilding rubbed

Style notes — late Georgian period mainly refers to the early 19th century, up to 1838. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration.
