Style notes — late Georgian period mainly refers to the early 19th century, up to 1838. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration. Most Georgian items have straight and very clean lines and elegant repetitive floral patterns.

Facts of Lavish Etiquette tip — port and sherry decanters have to be constantly passed at the after dinner table, so that all guests can have a fill of their glass without asking for it.
