Unusual Mid-Century Modern ceramic jug of a ribbed design with pink and grey mottled glaze, by Govancroft; vintage Scottish mid 29th century.

Style note — many household products designed in the Mid-Century Modern style were manufactured using new and unexpected materials – homewares in chrome, nickel, aluminium and plastic as well as plywood for furniture. They allowed creating new shapes on an industrial scale and were easy to use.
