Rare wine flute or ale glass, engraved wit ha Jacobite symbolism of a rose, hand blown on a tall air twist stem; antique English Georgian style and period, from circa 1750. Base 7.3 cm diameter. The engraving is possibly a later addition.

Style notes — Georgian period mainly refers to the second half of the 18th century and up to the 1820s. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration.
