Exceptionally rare small wine glass, hand blown in vibrant amber colour, the bowl with a wrythen pattern; antique English Georgian style, Regency period from circa 1820.
Condition: some scratches, minor surface wear
Size: 11.8 cm high, 6 cm diameter
Style notes — late Georgian period mainly refers to the early 19th century, up to 1838. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration. Most Georgian items have straight and very clean lines and elegant repetitive floral patterns.
